Sunday in Haiti

One of my babies, he is only 5 months old, very alert and loves to try to talk to me. He has great hair, so soft and he loves to run his hands through it.

I am at the end of another wonderful day. Yesterday, Saturday, a group of 11 girls went shopping. Quite an experience. I actually felt like I was in Mexico, the vendors followed us to the car still trying to make a sale. I did make a few purchases though and I am very pleased with them.

We were taken to an over look that was so beautiful, hard to describe. This is a view of Port-au-Prince with the sea in the upper corner. Beautiful view.

Today we went to church, we were taken to a private home for an English service, next week we get to go to a Haitian Church. We were served breakfast, pate, maybe I will get the recipe and try on you when I get home.

We had a missionary attend church who will be conducting VBS at the Toddler House this week.
Please pray for her and the children who will attend.

Thank you again for your prayer support, I know that is why every thing is going so well. I have not gotten sick, I feel rested and the food has been great, still don't always know what I am eating, but it is good.

Thank you for continuing to pray for me and the people of Haiti.

Until next time

  1. Hey BFF! Please try to get that precious 5-month-old angel in your suitcase. The picture of him was so precious! I try to pray for you as often as I can, usually whenever I think about you, which believe me is a lot! I've got lots to tell you but not nearly as much as you have to tell us. Every time I see something you post, I always call Linda since she has to wait for Michael to get on the computer to tell her. Oh, I will tell you that I saw Alan Stone Saturday at church and he looked great - so tan and rested. Betty wasn't with him because he came for the Leadership Conference. I told him where you were and he said to send you his best. Can't wait to hear about your adventures - bus ride, shopping, going to church. I miss you so much I may even eat breakfast pate. I know you can make anything taste good. London asked me yesterday whose car was by my house and I told her Mary Jo and she said "where Michael Todd?" So I guess when you get back we need to get them together for a "playdate". I know God is using you in a mighty way and I am so proud to call you my friend for what you are doing. Please pray that I do okay leading the Bible Study Friday. You know I'm not very good at it. Take care and love those babies for me and Linda!!! Luv U

  3. I'm so thankful your first week went well, and I know the second week will be just as rewarding. I can't wait to hear about all of your experiences. The babies are adorable, bring one back if you can. There is enough of us to babysit. As always, your in my prayers and I know God is listening to our prayers. Can't wait to see you monday - Linda
